Business Workshops

Lake Street Council reached out to Modern Day Me with a mission: empower local business owners with creative tools that support their growth.

As part of the Lake Street Lift program, we designed a series of free workshops for businesses focused on visual storytelling, brand building, and meaningful connection. Each session was rooted in community, crafted with care, and built to give entrepreneurs real strategies they could use right away.

We Approach this by creating a four-part workshop series that combined creativity, strategy, and community insight.

Each event centered a specific skill set that aligned with the needs of small business owners on Lake Street:

Photo + Video Workshop
Participants explored how to use photo and video to capture their brand’s energy. The session included tips on planning shoots, batching content, and deciding when to DIY versus collaborate with professionals.

Social Media Workshop
This session guided business owners through the process of showing up with clarity and consistency online. From planning content to finding your voice, the workshop helped participants create a system that supports visibility and engagement.

Building a Brand
We walked through the essential elements of brand identity—voice, story, visuals, positioning—and how to build something that evolves over time. Attendees left with a clearer understanding of what makes a brand feel alive, and how to express that through every touchpoint.

Community Connection
In our final workshop, we focused on intentional connection. We offered strategies for building professional relationships that feel genuine and supportive, without the pressure of pitches or small talk.

Each session was led by a creative expert and designed to feel both accessible and energizing.
